May is a month dedicated to celebrating teachers and many businesses across the state are offering discounts or freebies to honor our state’s amazing educators. Check out the deals below and let us know if there are others we missed and we will update our list.

  • 1800Flowers: NEA members can save 20% on flowers and gift baskets.
  • 23andMe: Teachers save $20 to $100 on select DNA kits.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Teachers save 60% off monthly Creative Cloud subscriptions
  • Ann Taylor LOFT: Through the LOFT Loves Teachers Programs teachers save 15% off full-priced items.
  • Apple: Teachers can get discounts of up to $200 on computers and accessories through the Apple Education Store.
  • Barnes & Noble: On Educator Appreciation Days you can get 35% off, but with the B&N Educators program teachers can receive 20% off the publisher’s list price on all classroom purchases and 10% off café purchases.
  • Bookmans: Get 20% off all purchases.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings: Teachers get 20% off orders at participating sports bars Monday through this Friday for dine-in or takeout when they show a valid teacher ID.
  • Capriotti’s Sandwich ShopsThe chain is looking for nominations of teachers to reward them with a free half or small sub. Send nominations to Capriotti’s through a direct message on InstagramTwitter or Facebook with the name and email address of your favorite teacher and why they are your favorite teacher. Capriotti’s will then load their CAPAddict account with a free sub offer. Nominations will be taken through 11:59 p.m. PT Sunday.
  • Coolframes.com: Teachers get a 5% discount.
  • Costco: NEA members will receive a $30 Costco Shop Card with a new Costco membership.
  • Four Peaks: Starting May 4, the brewery will set aside a portion of sales of its flagship Scottish ale, Kit Lifter, for the Four Peaks Teacher program.
  • GE Appliances Stores: NEA members receive several discounts and free delivery on appliances costing more than $399.
  • GelPro: Get 25% off your purchase of cushioned floor mats.
  • GM Educator Discount: Current employees of schools, colleges or universities can enjoy special pricing below MSRP on the purchase or lease of eligible new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicles.
  • Half Priced Books: Sign up for the Educator Discount Card for a 10% discount year-round.
  • Headspace: All K-12 teachers, school administrators and supporting staff can get a free annual subscription
  • Home Chef: They are offering 50% off the first order to teachers with an additional 10% discount for subsequent orders.
  • Insomnia Cookies: From Monday through May 9, teachers get a free classic cookie with their teacher ID, no purchase necessary. Or they can get a free six-pack with any purchase.

  • J.Crew: Get 15% off at JCrew.com.
  • Joann: Teachers save 15% on purchases.
  • L. Bean: Get 10% discount on orders.
  • Los Sombreros: Offering a free entrée to teachers for dine in on May 6.
  • McAlister’s Deli: Teachers get a free tea Monday through this Friday when they show their school badge or ID. Also, through Thursday, the chain is taking nominations for a teacher to win free catering on its website. To submit, you’ll need to include your name, email address, the name and email address of the person you are nominating along with why you are nominating them. Those who submit a nomination will receive a free tea promotion code to use within 14 days but will need to be a member of the McAlister’s Deli rewards program to redeem. Winners will be announced May 7.
  • McDonald’s: While McDonald’s doesn’t have a national Teacher Appreciation Week deal, it does have a free McFlurry offer via its mobile app Tuesday.
  • Microsoft: Through the Microsoft Education Store and you can save 10% on the Surface, select software and more.
  • Office Depot/Office Max: Their Give Back to School Programs lets you give your PreK-12 public of private school 5% of the purchase price on qualifying school supplies.
  • PBS Learning Media: The basic service is free for PreK-12 educators. Register for free access to thousands of classroom-ready, curriculum-targeted, digital resources and lesson plans aligned to Common Core and national standards.
  • Pvolve Fitness: P.volve is offering 50% off everything to students and teachers
  • Pencils.com: Sign up to receive 10% discount on purchases.
  • Sauce Pizza & Wine: 25% for educators for Teacher Appreciation Week.
  • Sonic Drive-In: This deal is in honor of teachers but open to everyone with the Sonic app. From Sunday through May 9, use promo code TEACHERS at checkout online or in the app to unlock a free large drink or slush with any purchase.
  • Staples: The Classroom Rewards program members receive up to $250 to use on classroom supplies. Parents in the program can donate 5% of their purchases to a teacher or school of their choosing. Teachers get 20% off in-store purchases for Teacher Appreciation Week from May 2-9 when they present a valid school ID at check-out.
  • Vineyard Vines: Teachers get 15% off their online purchase with valid ID
