In 2010, Expect More Arizona launched the Vote 4 Education campaign with a goal making education a top priority in the election. Parents, students and teachers across Arizona learned the role voting plays in education. This year, the nonpartisan Vote 4 Education initiative is back and building on the momentum of two years ago, and championing the role vibrant schools and world-class education have in creating a better Arizona. With that in mind, we launched our first day of action on October 10 to engage voters across Arizona in sharing the Vote 4 Education message.
Over the last few months Arizonans have taken this message to heart and have knocked on neighbors’ doors with Vote 4 Education information. They have attended town halls and asked candidates questions about education initiatives currently under way, hosted house parties to inform their friends and family about the need to Vote 4 Education, and have used our website to connect with elected officials and to learn more about education initiatives.
We saw these efforts of Arizonans across the state highlighted during our 10/10: A Day of Action. We want to say a special thank you to all of you across the state who participated in the Vote 4 Education: 10/10 Day of Action by wearing shirts, hosting house and street parties, posting to social media, and spreading the Vote 4 Education message.
You made 10/10 a huge success and elevated education as a critical issue in this year’s election. We had nearly 60 groups participate in 10/10 across the state, including schools, business chambers, small businesses, corporations, nonprofits, college greek organizations, youth leadership developments groups, philanthropy organizations, and elected officials. You shared Vote 4 Education messages on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, reaching more than 15,000 individuals through social media. You posted pictures, tweeted your candidates, and “liked” the day. In short, you showed up, raised your voice 4 education, and made us proud. We can’t thank you enough for being a part of the movement for world-class education in Arizona.
Although 10/10 has come and gone, we still need you to be a loud and consistent voice for the Vote 4 Education campaign, from now through November 6 and beyond. Click here for find ways you can easily spread the word about Vote 4 Education, without leaving your computer.
Thank you again to everyone – businesses, schools, clubs, and individuals – for showing up and sharing your passion 4 education. We are so proud to join you as we ask Arizonans to Vote 4 Education!
