Attention [CITY] Chamber members,

The [CITY] Chamber of Commerce is joining with Expect More Arizona and countless other education organizations to mark two special days:

  • Tuesday, May 5, 2020 – Arizona Teacher Appreciation Day (#AZTeachersRock) (in alignment with National Teacher Appreciation day)
  • Wednesday, May 20, 2020 – Arizona Graduate Recognition Day (#AZClassOf2020)

With physical distancing measures in place, both of these occasions will look quite different from years past, but your business has an opportunity to play an important role in making teachers and 2020 graduates feel honored and appreciated.

Businesses should find innovative ways to celebrate that will work for them, but here are some ideas:

  • Check out the web page for social sharing images, hashtags and resources
  • Use social media to help spread the word
  • Take out an ad in the local paper recognizing teachers and/or graduates
  • Consider a home page takeover of your company website on May 5 and/or May 20 with a message of congratulations/appreciation
  • Display a sign or banner on the side of your building or light up your building with an image or message, if appropriate
  • Consider printing and hanging banners near any neighborhood schools
  • Share messages of congratulations/recognition on social media using the appropriate hashtag
  • Local restaurants could include a general message to educators and graduates with deliveries or pick-up orders on May 5 and 20

These statewide dates will ensure that the hard work and dedication of both students and educators doesn’t go unnoticed. Contact [STAFF NAME] if you have questions or need ideas that will work for your company.
