Local Government Engagement

We know that it will take local communities leading the way to make significant progress toward the goals. Therefore, we believe it is critical to support local municipalities in adopting the statewide shared vision for education and improving each of the indicators locally.  In fact, many communities are already working to develop their own baselines and goals aligned to the Education Progress Meter. Through statewide outreach, Expect More Arizona, the Center for the Future of Arizona, and Achieve60AZ are supporting existing community efforts as well as engaging additional local governments in adopting the state’s attainment goal and Arizona Education Progress Meter as their tool for measuring local impact on education.
