Vote

What we put into education determines what we get out of it.

There is a direct link between education issues and many other social, economic and political challenges. Simply put, by supporting education, we are supporting the overall success and progress of our state.

There are so many critical decisions that impact education being put to voters during this election cycle. Those decisions include temporary sales tax increases, reaffirmation of voter-approved dollars to early childhood programs as well as the election of our governor, superintendent of public instruction, legislators and local school boards members.

Your voice – and that of your friends, neighbors and colleagues – is more important than ever before. As a result, we are rallying Arizonans to make sure their candidates are true champions of education by understanding the following four questions about your candidates:

4 Questions

  1. Is education one of their top two priorities?
  2. Do they have a clear plan with specific strategies for how they will address the biggest issues affecting education in our state?
  3. Are they willing to invest resources in education to support Arizona’s long-term success?
  4. How will they challenge Arizonans to expect more and do more for education?

Visit the "Know Your Candidates" page for links to Candidate Lists, Scorecards and Voting Records.

Be an active member of the movement for education in Arizona. Here are four ways you can show Arizona that you expect more:

4 Actions

  1. Vote Yes on 100
  2. Vote No on 302 - Protect the Voter-Approved Early Childhood Health and Development Funds
  3. Make sure your candidates are unwavering advocates for education
  4. Rally 10 friends to vote with education as their “hot button” issue

Although Expect More Arizona is a nonpartisan organization, we can’t stress enough the importance of voting for people, policies and programs supportive of education. While we may not specifically tell you how to cast each vote, we want to be a resource for you on voting procedures, election dates and finding the best information on what each vote will mean for the future of education in Arizona.
