Fun-filled learning is happening this summer at the Children’s Museum Tucson with Science Sundays from May 20th through September 2nd. This Sunday-only program will feature science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) themed activities. Museum staff and weekly guest organizations will provide hands-on fun for visitors with animals, physics, math, lasers and much more. Science Sundays are also $2 admission days.
Science Sundays coincide with the opening of Investigation Station, the Museum’s all-new exhibit. It is the Museum’s largest exhibit to date and offers a variety of STEM-based interactive features. Investigation Station was made possible by Angel Charity for Children, Inc.
Science Sundays is sponsored by Tucson Medical Center, Wells Fargo, Freeport McMoRan, Raytheon, General Growth Properties and Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of Arizona. Media sponsorship by Arizona Daily Star.
Participating guest organizations for Science Sundays include Reid Park Zoo, The Physics Factory, UA Optics, the Mini-Time Machine Museum, Make It Magic, Tucson Botanical Gardens and others.
The Children’s Museum Tucson serves more than 125,000 children and families annually who come to experience the fun, hands-on environment of a children’s museum. The exhibits, programs and special events invite the young and the young-at-heart to discover and explore the arts, sciences and humanities together in an environment that enhances these learning experiences.
