5 C’s. Four corners.
And millions of reasons to care about Arizona’s future.

A world-class education for all children starts with higher expectations for all of us.

You can make a difference for Arizona’s students. You don’t have to be a parent to care about what’s happening in education in our state and across the nation. The success of Arizona’s students impacts all of us. A high-quality education system leads to vibrant and healthy communities, a strong economy and a better quality of life for all of us.

Arizona’s future leaders are in today’s cradles and classrooms. As other states and nations become more competitive and successful at preparing highly skilled individuals, it’s more critical than ever to support our own education system and the outcomes it delivers. This begins with expecting more from ourselves and making it a priority to support Arizona’s schools and students.

Arizonans agree that every child deserves a world-class education. We need transformational change that opens the door to opportunities for every student. We must make sure all Arizona students receive the support they need to graduate from high school on time, and prepare them to compete with their national and international peers in academic performance and post-secondary degree attainment.

What’s the Solution

Education powers our state.

In Arizona, we have dedicated educators and hard-working students, but they can’t do it alone.

A world-class education gives every child in Arizona the tools to succeed in school and in life, regardless of background, income or zip code. Every child deserves to hit each milestone in the education journey, from kindergarten preparedness and literacy to high school graduation and college or career training.

The path to excellence requires students who are motivated and ready to learn, involved parents, trained and committed educators, informed and engaged voters, and capable and supportive elected officials. In other words, it takes all of us.

The first step to making education a priority is to better understand the issues and opportunities affecting our students, our state and your overall quality of life. Then, find opportunities to get involved. Expect More Arizona has a number of resources to help you get started.

The strength of Arizona comes from within.

As Arizonans, we want our state to be a great place to live, work and raise a family. In order to achieve this, we need to attract and retain top-level talent, high wage jobs and diverse industries that will fuel our economy and sustain a high quality of life. This requires a strong education system that effectively prepares our students to compete, contribute and succeed.

In order to strengthen education in our state, the bar must be raised. We must expect more of ourselves, of our students and of each other.
