AARP Experience Corps

An Invitation to Adults over 50:

Thousands of experienced adults across the country are working to make a difference in their communities through AARP – Experience Corps. Come join them.

Experience Corps volunteers work in local elementary schools, providing one-on-one early literacy tutoring to struggling students in Grades 1-3.

Time commitment is two hours twice weekly during the school year.

Program is offered at six elementary schools located in the City of Tempe.

Comprehensive training, excellent support services and orientation provided.

Background check fingerprinting, interview conducted .

Just a few hours in a neighborhood school can change a child’s life — and yours!
