Expect More Arizona realizes that a big part of ensuring that all Arizona students graduate from high school with the opportunity to succeed in a postsecondary program is to celebrate success stories across our state. There are many examples of educational excellence in Arizona. In fact, according to US News & World Report, two of the top 10 High Schools in the nation are here. Tucson’s University High School (#4) and BASIS Tucson (#6) each ranked in the top 10 of the national rankings, and a number of other Arizona schools also made the extended list. The magazine ranks schools “based on the key principles that a great high school must serve all of its students well, not just those who are college-bound, and that it must be able to produce measurable academic outcomes to show the school is successfully educating its student body across a range of performance indicators.”
