areed’s Story

by Expect More Arizona

My family recently moved from Georgia to Arizona. My Kindergarten and 3rd grader went into their assigned schools and I quickly realized that they were relearning last years information and not excelling on appropriate grade-level work. After the 1st half of the year I realized just how behind thier learning was and decided to pull my students and begin homeschooling. They have excelled remarkably and are back to a more typical, expected grade level and beyond. I believe our children want to learn and need a more caring, child-driven curriculum that will see all children get the excellent education they deserve and that our societies need. In other states, pre-K and other learning resources help children to learn at an early age. We are missing that here in Arizona.
