You Can Do the Rubik’s Cube

Title: You Can Do the Rubik’s Cube
Location: ASU, West Campus, CLCC (Classroom, laboratory and Computer Classroom Building), Room 199.

Description: “You Can Do the Rubik’s Cube Arizona” is a statewide math competition that will host teams (of 8 students each) from across Arizona to solve 25 Rubik’s Cubes in the shortest amount of time. It is scheduled for February 25th at ASU West, on the same day as many other festivities as part of the Arizona SciTech Festival.

Teams may be from schools and/or community organizations (like Girl Scouts, YMCA, etc.). Each team is invited to send a coach/teacher leader to a free workshop to learn strategies for solving the cube on December 3rd. Free math education kits, including 12 free cubes, will be given to coaches who sign up in advance for this workshop. In addition, there will be cash prizes for all divisions places 1st through 6th with a $500 prize for 1st place.
