Description: The League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson will discuss “The Role of the Federal Government in Public Education” from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 20 at the Eckstrom-Columbus Library, 4350 E. 22nd St.
The meeting will cover the history, common core standards, early childhood education, and equity and education of children with special needs.
The meeting will be the culmination of a two-year study by the national League of Women Voters.
Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m.
