Polls mean nothing if you are not honest and have values and principles. The education system in AZ and most of the US is poor. Kids in AZ get close to $9,000/sutdent per year for the public schools yet teachers still have to buy classroom supplies. WHY? Is it because we are over bloated with Administrators and spending money on "pretty" school that have everything but do nothing.

Teachers for the most part are good but their hands are tied by school administration and heavy handed unions that take their money in the form of dues to buy political favor.

The whole system of public education needs to be revamped. Start with getting rid of the Education dept.

Hurray! This poll should be very useful to candidates, voters, and public education advocates. It helps us all to be aware that if we do not make public education our #1 priority when we vote for state legislators and governor, we can expect less, Arizona. You have given us the data: only 20% vote for education now. That's a serious problem.
....... Beforethis poll, I've been a little annoyed with EMA because you folks have enormous funding, but you did no person-to-person outreach and your message was too bland. Your commercials were pretty, but everybody just agreed with them, "Education = Good."
... .... Howeer, with this poll, I hope you and we can motivate voters to change. Just as your poll shows that 72% feel they can make a difference for schools, we all must do that by VOTING 4 education as #1.
.... APPLE, the AZ Parents for PubLic Education will continue to reach out to parents and to help them build local organizations that inform voters. This EMA poll will be an important part of our communications.
    Thank you!
