Title: Teacher Leadership and Advocacy – February 20
Location: Arizona State University-SkySong 1475 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale
More Info: Click here
Description: The profession needs your voice and your leadership. This one-day seminar will give you the information and tools necessary to advocate for the profession of teaching. We have invited the Center for Strengthening the Teaching Profession (CSTP) to work with us to provide you with skills in planning, speaking and writing, identifying opportunities to participate in policy discussions, and making a difference in your school community. We will also build individual profiles in the Arizona Teacher Leader Network, a partnership of the Arizona K-12 Center, the Arizona Education Association and Arizona State University, to support accomplished teachers interested in expanding their capacity for leadership.

The seminar will provide you with the most current information on the state of education policy in Arizona and some possible advocacy opportunities. Please bring your laptop computer if you have one. If you do not have one, we have a limited number to provide for your use during this seminar.
Start Time: 9:00 am
Date: February 20, 2010
End Time: 4:00 pm
